Congressman Moore is passionate about the need to provide the best for those who are serving and those who have served our country. A veteran himself, Congressman Moore is a tireless advocate for our veterans and believes that it is imperative that we respect and honor their service by providing for them not only during their time of service, but also throughout their life.

 

Examples of Congressman Moore working on behalf of our troops and veterans:

  • Congressman Moore wrote the bill, now law, to increase the death gratuity payment paid to the family of a fallen soldier from $12,000 to $100,000.
  • Congressman Moore wrote legislation, now law, to require the Department of Defense to pay all travel costs for soldiers returning home on R&R leave from combat.
  • Congressman Moore opposes fee increases for our veteran’s health care.
