Supporting our Troops

As a staunch supporter of our military, I have led the fight to increase benefits for the families of those killed in action. When I learned that troops home on leave from Iraq and Afghanistan were being forced to pay their own travel costs to their home cities, I sponsored legislation to direct the Department of Defense to pay all their travel costs. It's now the law.
